Steve Marable is a native of the Tidewater area and a product of both Chesapeake and Virginia Beach Public Schools. He has enjoyed over 13 years of success in public education as an educator and building administrator. He earned a Bachelors from Old Dominion (Go Monarchs!), a Masters from George Washington University, and a Doctorate from Virginia Tech in policy and leadership (Go Hokies!). Steve’s dissertation topic focused on current sustainable features of new facilities and energy saving practices utilized in school buildings. He has been invited to present on the subject of sustainability at the state, national, and international levels, and he earned the International Society of Educational Planning’s Outstanding Dissertation Award in 2014.

Steve has always enjoyed helping people, as he has worked with kids and families throughout his career in education. His experience with his dissertation work helped him build a new respect and passion for architecture and eco-friendly structures, which eventually lead to his interest in his family’s real estate business. A turning point in his career occurred in 2016, when Steve was offered a leadership position in the Colorado Rockies that would require him and his family to move half way across the country. He was also invited to join his family in their successful and growing real estate business. Either opportunity was going to require a bold decision. Steve ultimately decided to stay in the Tidewater area where he could stay close to family and work with family as part of the Marable-Allen Team with The Real Estate Group. He was thrilled at the opportunity to join this well established and well respected team, and he loves helping clients find the perfect home for their families.

When he is not showing houses, hosting an open house, or negotiating for his clients, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.

Team work and client-centered service are the cornerstones of his philosophy in providing an exceptional experience for buyers and sellers. His background in education and leadership have assisted him in developing valuable skills that help him serve his clients in the ever-changing real estate market.
